Our President, Linda Ford, spoke on ABC Adelaide Afternoons and ABC Drive in WA about the exciting news on funding for student social workers. 

She emphasised the benefits it will have for social work in regional Australia, with the weekly $320 payments providing the opportunity for students to commute to placement in remote areas.

She also cautioned the shortcomings of a ‘fly in fly out’ approach, and how this funding will allow for social workers to integrate and build with their regional communities.
