We are excited to announce our partnership with AF Legal Group Ltd, including its brands Australian Family Lawyers and Armstrong Legal, to offer a free legal consultation service for all our members and their families. This collaboration provides AASW members with a complimentary legal consultation covering a range of legal issues that our members often face. Areas of expertise include Family law, Domestic Violence and Contested wills and estates.
Members or their families are entitled to one complimentary consultation (up to 45 mins) per financial year with a lawyer from Australian Family Lawyers or Armstrong Legal, provided the query falls within their area of expertise. If the issue is outside their expertise, a referral will be made to another law firm for an initial consultation where possible.
Insurance
AF Legal Group’s legal service will work alongside AASW’s existing $30 million professional indemnity and $30 million public liability insurance coverage, currently in place with Berkley Insurance.
Important: If you are the recipient of a complaint or facing civil litigation, it is essential to notify the Sear Insurance broker immediately.
