  • The SA Branch is supported by a Branch Management Committee elected by the Branch membership.

    The Branch’s key role is to provide local support for AASW members through a range of activities that enable members to network, develop practice skills and organise around social justice issues.

    SA Branch World Social Work Day Breakfast - 18 March 2025

    Come and join the SA Branch for breakfast to celebrate World Social Work Day and hear from a guest speaker, April Lawrie, Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People, as she speaks to this year’s theme, ‘Strengthening Intergenerational Solidarity for Enduring Wellbeing’.

    Mirning and Kokatha woman April Lawrie is dedicated to creating generational change for all children. For more than 30 years, April has led systemic reform in Aboriginal health, justice, education and child protection.

    April will talk to the WSWD25 theme in the context of her professional interests.
