The NDIS is a world-first initiative, that brings a lot of opportunities (as well as challenges) for individuals and families impacted by disability. Finding and clarifying the social work space amid the more well-known allied health professions and within NDIS constraints is imperative.
This presentation touches on many of the various roles the social worker in the NDIS space may undertake, and details a number of considerations social workers in the NDIS space need to be mindful of.
Presenter
Jodyne Greig is a Disability Accredited Social with over 20 years' experience working exclusively with individuals with disabilities (and their families) who have complex presentations and behaviours. With extensive training in autism, psychosocial assessment and trauma-informed practice, Jodyne has worked in both metropolitan and regional and remote areas of Western Australia, and is passionate about supporting marginalised individuals impacted by disability who have difficulty consistently engaging with support services.
