This webinar provides an overview of strategies for social workers to engage in conversations about the impact of chronic illness on sexuality and intimate relationships. Social workers can learn skills to elicit concerns about sexual function and can provide information and interventions.
Using a strengths based focus, incorporating psychosexual assessment into clinical practice has the potential to empower people with chronic illnesses to take control of aspects of their lives that have been impacted by disability and impairment; with an aim of enhancing relationships and optimising quality of life.
This webinar was presented by the AASW NSW Branch.
