LIVE ONLINE WORKSHOP
Capability Level: Evolving
Did you know that a caregiver’s response to a child or young person’s disclosure of sexual abuse can significantly impact the healing process? For social workers, supporting non-offending caregivers requires a nuanced approach that acknowledges the caregiver’s own emotional and psychological needs while addressing the child’s safety and well-bring. This workshop explores the complexities of this critical aspect of practice.
This training will empower practitioners to provide compassionate, informed and effective support to non-offending caregivers and their families following a disclosure of child sexual abuse.
Who should attend?
This workshop is designed for social workers and practitioners who are developing their confidence and capability in supporting non-offending caregivers after a disclosure of child sexual abuse. Participants at this level are experienced in their field, work collaboratively within a team under supervision and are deepening their understanding of how to support children and young people through the disclosure process with compassion and professionalism.
