Capability level: Emerging and evolving.
Approximately one million Australians experience an eating disorder, and this number is increasing.
Do you want to learn about eating disorders? Are you currently supporting someone experiencing an eating disorder, or a carer/loved one? Are you needing information on how best to support someone experiencing an eating disorder, including navigating referral pathways, and treatment options?
Eating Disorders Victoria (EDV) is the trusted guide for Victorians affected by eating disorders, helping them to get the support they need to ensure the earliest possible recovery.
Join us for a 90 minute webinar facilitated by two EDV social workers.
A lack of awareness and understanding of eating disorders is seen as a key barrier to people accessing treatment. As social workers engage with a variety of community members in their roles, having information and knowledge in identifying and responding to eating disorders is a valuable skill set for those employed within the mental health sector and other community services.
