Wellbeing in schools can be a challenge for social workers to navigate. It can be difficult to manoeuvre between school leadership and staff to establish a holistic and whole school approach in supporting students’ wellbeing.
This presentation highlights a school’s journey through a social work lens; incorporating a Wellbeing Centre, developing a Wellbeing Framework and establishing a comprehensive Wellbeing program to support the needs of their students.
During this presentation Michelle will share some of the experiences and the processes undertaken to establish this environment and services while focusing on the role of our social workers and their contribution to the development of these foundations and structures that can be adapted and customized to your education setting and your role.
Who should register? Social workers working in schools who have some experience and for those seeking further knowledge and resources, allied health practitioners or support professionals who work in schools. It will also suit individuals who are interested in setting up such processes and frameworks in schools.
