Dissociative disorders, which are often more prevalent than mood disorders like depression, remain largely overlooked and underrepresented.

This workshop is aimed at Social Workers and other allied health professionals who are either evolving or established professionals. Whether you work in private practice, the community service sector, or anywhere in between, if you work with clients experiencing trauma, particularly complex trauma, this workshop is for you.

Learning Session 1: Exploring Dissociation and Dissociative Disorders (45 Minutes) Increase your competence in recognising and working with dissociative disorders in trauma survivors
Learning Activity 1: Interactive group discussion and Poll
Learning Session 2: Identify how to know when dissociative disorders are present (75 Minutes) Enhance your confidence in handling complex and often challenging client presentations, helping you become a more effective therapist
Learning Activity 2: Case study and Interactive video analysis
Learning Session 3: How to work with dissociative disorders (75 Minutes) Expand your toolkit with practical, evidence-based strategies that can be implemented immediately in your work
