When I ask people which emotion they find most challenging to work with in conflict situations, they almost always say anger. Part of the reason that people struggle with anger is that they don’t really understand it well – why and how it arises, how it tends to impact on behaviour, and how we can actually work WITH it, rather than against it, to promote constructive conflict engagement. That’s what this webinar is all about!
In this workshop, you will explore the emotion of anger, gaining insight into why it arises and how it typically affects a person's behaviour. You'll examine the relationship between anger and conflict, learning how anger often emerges in these situations and its impact on conflict management and resolution. Additionally, you will take away valuable tools and strategies to effectively manage anger in conflict scenarios.
Prior to this workshop, please watch the webinar recording of Unravelling Anger - A Guide to Understanding Anger in Conflict. This will give you the background to complete the activities in this workshop. You will also be asked to submit a case study involving anger to explore during the workshop.
