Led by Sunelle Asmussen, a Clinical Social Worker, and internationally recognised Neurofeedback Practitioner with over 20 years of expertise, this course equips you with practical, evidence-based strategies to transform your practice. Learners will also explore current evidence-based strategies that promote positive neural changes and manage stress responses in clients.
Focussed Psychological Strategies, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are discussed as well as emerging approaches like Neurofeedback. Guidance is provided to participants to ensure that social workers are able to practice within their scope, grounded through the AASW Practice Standards.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with new knowledge to enhance their trauma-informed practice and may consider further study in this evolving area of social work.
