NSW LGBTQIA+ Practice Group Mardi Gras Parade 1 Mar 25

Social Workers who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, those who work with the LGBTQIA+ community and those who are allies and supporters of the LGBTQIA+ community are welcome to join us at Mardi Gras. Social Workers who would like to be involved MUST register by 30 January 2025 so we can send you more specific event details and order your t shirt.

Numbers are limited to 30, so register quickly!

Non-Members: $15 each

Members: $10 each

Students: $5 each

Social Workers who would like to participate in the parade:

• Must adhere to the AASW Code of Ethics during the parade and all parade activities
• Must adhere to the conditions set by Mardi Gras (see link for full details)
• Must be available on 1 March 2025 to participate in the parade
• Must be available on either Thursday 13 February 2025 at 7pm (AEDT) or Tuesday 18 February 2025 at 7pm (AEDT) to attend a one hour zoom meeting briefing
• MUST review the size chart (please see link) and email their preferred T shirt size to [email protected]. If you do not indicate your size, a size will be chosen for you and we cannot guarantee it will fit! The T shirts will be black.

When: Saturday 1 March 2025

Time: Parade starts at 6pm (AEDT), arrival time TBA

Venue: Oxford Street, Sydney

CPD Hours: 2 hours for the Parade and 1 hour for Zoom briefing meeting
