Leanne McGain Chief Social Worker and Family Work Development Co-ordinator, Northern Area Mental Health Service Leanne McGain has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Social Work with over 10 years practising in Clinical Mental health. Leanne has worked across CATT, ECATT and Community teams and has a background in childhood trauma and abuse as well as family therapy. Leanne has a passion for a Workforce development and contributing to best practice and innovative practices in the area of clinical mental health with the input from families, children and carers always being a priority of focus for her work. Leanne has worked alongside other disciplines within acute settings and recognises the need for progressive practice within a clinical setting with a goal of recognising and clearly articulating scope of practice for our social workers.
Lisa Hebel Senior Social Work Advisor for North Western Mental Health Over the past 25 years Lisa has worked in public mental health in both in-patient and community settings, with most of her clinical work being practiced at Orygen Youth Health. Her last 10 years have been in workforce and service development as well as professional leadership and education. Lisa has also established some practice-based research initiatives within NWMH through a research collaboration with the School of Social Work at the University of Melbourne.
