This is Part 2 of the series that explores Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), focusing on stress, inflammation, and applying evidence-based practices in social work.
This 3-hour workshop explores Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) and its relevance for social work. Participants will learn how the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems interact and how stress, chronic distress, and inflammation impact physical and mental health. The workshop covers the development of PNI as a unique science and how its findings can inform social work practices. By the end, participants will be able to define PNI, understand the biological mechanisms behind stress and disease, and apply evidence-based practices from PNI to improve social work interventions and client care.
Who should attend?
This workshop is suitable for all Social Workers and healthcare professionals looking to explore Psychoneuroimmunology and how it can be implemented in their practice.
