This year will extend our conversation on ecosocial work and build on the World Social Work Day theme ‘Strengthening intergenerational solidarity for enduring wellbeing’.
Please be aware that the Connecting to Country session will have experiential components that will have some limitations online. Lena Dominelli will be joining us online from Scotland via zoom

6.00 pm: Reflections
6.30pm: Climate Change: Is it an issue for social workers? Lena Dominelli, University of Stirling, Scotland (live online session). Many social workers know little about climate change or its relevance for the routines of everyday practice. This session will consider what climate change is, its relevance for daily routines of practice, and how social workers can engage in activities to mitigate climate risk in their communities. Dinner and reflections to follow
