SA Christians in Social Work Networking Group meet for a meal and networking opportunity.
Raechel Joyce has been working in Women’s and Children’s Healthcare for over 15 years.
Raech wholeheartedly believes that every child has the right to live with their family. Raech passionately supports families to navigate bio-psychosocial barriers to complex hospital discharge, including disability and high health care needs, interpersonal crisis, intergenerational trauma, and family adjustment.
School is supposed to be a child’s second safest place on earth. In 2020 as the world was being gripped by Covid-19, when everyone’s world was nervously changing, Raechel’s daughter courageously disclosed having been sexually assaulted, and raped, at her private school.
The traumatic impact of her unprecedented bravery, would achingly change the fabric of the Joyce family.
Come along for a very special evening together. When faced with sexual violence, see how God can use our creative gifts, and change the course of a persons life, as Raech shares the story behind her recently published book, ‘The Fairytale of the Jeweller and his Pearl’, written by Raechel Joyce and Illustrated by Jessica Scholich.
