In today's world, children are facing unprecedented levels of anxiety and depression, surpassing even historical benchmarks like the Cold War and the Great Depression, as noted by Dr. Peter Gray. Child-Centered Play Therapy stands out as a proven, empirically researched approach that leverages the therapeutic power of play under the guidance of trained therapists.
This training session offers a valuable opportunity to delve into Child-Centered Play Therapy, equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills to effectively support children's mental health. This workshop has been upgraded to an advanced level of training, providing participants with a more enriching experience and valuable expertise. By focusing on the child's innate ability to express and process emotions through play, Child-Centered Play Therapy aligns with developmental stages and fosters a safe environment for healing.
Who should attend?
Social Workers and mental health practitioners working therapeutically with children and families who have experienced/ are experiencing trauma. Attendees will gain insights into evidence-based strategies that are not only effective but also sensitive to the unique needs of each child.
