Branch - NSW

The NSW Branch is supported by a Branch Management Committee elected by the Branch membership.

The Branch’s key role is to provide local support for AASW members through a range of activities that enable members to network, develop practice skills and organise around social justice issues.

LGBTQIA+ Practice Group Mardi Gras Parade

Be part of the AASW Parade Inclusion at the 2025 Sydney Mardi Gras! Participation is open to AASW members and non-members and Social Work students (however, you must be eligible for membership with the AASW). The Mardi Gras parade will be on 1 March 2025 in Sydney.

Social Workers who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, those who work with the LGBTQIA+ community and those who are allies and supporters of the LGBTQIA+ community are welcome to join us at Mardi Gras.

Social Workers who would like to be involved MUST register by 30 January 2025. Numbers are limited to 30, so register quickly!
